I obtained a copy of version 8F1111, and burned it at 6x using NERO on my Memorex CDRW/DVD+-RW

I shut down my PC and connected my old Apple USB Keyboard that came with my old Apple G4 Cube, and a Microsoft Wireless USB Intellimouse.

I disconnected my Windows XP drive and attached a blank 160gb drive.

Started the install and it went flawlessly. Took about 1.5 hours for the total install, but I had not 1 single error.

Rebooted after the install and everything works well. Good audio in iTunes (except the left speaker wasn't getting any sound), played a 480i HD Trailer from www.apple.com/trailers, It was a tad bit choppy in some places, but looked excellent overall.

The only real issue I have is OSX is only letting me set my LCD screen to 1024x768 instead of 1280x1024 I'm used to. Does anyone know how to force it?

Programs load lightning fast, no lag. Web browsing speed is great, no problems with Flash plugins or anything. I downloaded Limewire for OSX, installed it successfully, but couldn't seem to get it to run.

Hardware wise, I don't know the in depth specifics of my machine, but here are the specs I do know.

The machine model is a emachines D6405

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (2ghz, 512k L2, 1600mhz FSB)

1024 in 2 chips, 1 is slower therefore kicking the memory speed to 333mhz

160gb Maxtor HDD

NVidia 6200 AGP Video (256mb)

As for the motherboard, I don't know the specifics except that it is a VIA chipset.

Network Card is the integrated Realtek 8100c series, probably an 8139

Does anyone know a good XP utility for me to find the full specs on my hardware?

Overall, I give this OS a 8.5 out of 10... I will revisit my thread with updates as things happen.

Did you apply any patches at all? I too have an Athlon64 3000+ but mine is at 1.8Ghz still my crappy memory won't let me up it past 1.9 any ways... could you stay which patch you used?

This is the ISO I installed came in this folder.

"Mac OSX x86 10.4.3 build 8f1111 patched with Wesley's patch"

So I guess Wesley's patch.
