werD420
Hey all, EDIT: Removed content violating DMCA I have been upset so far with the dd'd .img because I can't seem to do any thing but make an 8GB or so partition for it to install on. I was thinking that with this image since it actually goes through the install I might be able to get around this. Would I benefit more from doing this? Thanks Edited February 17, 2006 by Metrogirl Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6190-deadmoo-dd-or-dvd-image/ Share on other sites

Technobob
You are better off using the DVD as 10.4.3 1099 is better and faster then 10.4.1 and if you have a supported Ati video card you will have driver support. Deadmoo image is really out of date these days most people have moved on to 10.4.3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6190-deadmoo-dd-or-dvd-image/#findComment-38780 Share on other sites
werD420
Thanks for the post. In your experience with the improved dvd image are able to specify your partition size? I am running into this issue I have a 200 and a 250 GB HD in my pc AMD 64 3700+ (SSE2) I have approximately 80GB on each drive unallocated at the moment but If I dd the img to a specified partition on either dive it is unbootable as long as there are still Windows partitions on it. So I can make one HD that is soley for apple Im hoping that with the dvd image I can specify a partition sizze and install it with other Partitions remaining intact. Is this possible yet? If so do you have any suggestions? Im having trouble now just booting with the dvd image but im willing to work it out if it can benefit. Also I have an Nvidia PCI card running at the moment but I haven't had any problems with my video. Did I just get lucky? macgirl
Yeah Nvidia cards works but only in Vesa mode, even with the Macdivia driver for Mac OS 10.4.1.
