Allright, so I'm using an Apple OS X86 10.4.6 by JaS DVD. I installed it on a clean 4gig drive without any problems, everything worked FINE once installed. That's quite awesome actually :)

But now I decided to install it on my main 80gig HDD. The HDD had 50gig for Windows, 20gig for Ubuntu Linux and 1 gig for the Linux swap. Basicly, I pretty much never used Windows and now that I know that OS X works mighty fine on my computer, I was thinking of making it my main OS. So I took the NTFS Windows partition and formated it to FAT32, as it had some stupid mount point error on that specific partition, to allow the disk utility in the DVD to change it to HFS+. So it did, I installed OS X without any problem. But now when I try to start OS X, either using GRUB by selecting "Windows" but actually refers to the hfs+ OS X partition, or by booting with the DVD and waiting the 8 secs for it start it, to then finish the instalation and well... use OS X :P . It stucks at the grey loading screen with the white apple logo and with a star like thing that spins, it takes a while then a white square with a black circle with a line through it goes a top the apple logo and it doesn't not do anything, even if I wait a while...

I'm guessing that this is a fairly recuring problem, but I searched this forum and googled for a while but I couldn't find anything of use. Oh, it might be worth mentioning that the OS X partiton is flagged as boot in Ubuntu(not that I quite understand what that stands for).

If anyone could help me out, or just refer me to another topic or even give me the name of this problem as I'm guessing my searching wasn't succesfull as I didn't know how to name my problem it would be very appreciated

Found what my problem was, I forgot to install the actually intel PC patch :) ... you know small detail.

On witch I'd like to thank everyone involved with the osx86 project (even you Steve) and urge the forum police to delete this topic to avoid further embarrassment. :D
