Tiranofice Posted August 28, 2007 Share Posted August 28, 2007 hi, i have a hackintosh with specs intel p4 640 3,2 ghz ati x740xl graphics card 128 mb (no qe en ci, too bad) 1 gig ram JaS 10,4,7 updated to 10,4,8 now, i tried updating quicktime from 7,0,4 to 7,1,4 with pacifist. for some reason, it didn't work I tried to delete it, and i found a update for 7,0,4, but it says i have already a newer version installed? how come? sow now i haven't got any quicktime, and i can't seem a way to install it. i don't know what to do. can someone help me plz? grtz tiranofice Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61620-quicktime-messed-up/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lactobacillus P Posted August 28, 2007 Share Posted August 28, 2007 For me updating the Quicktime software with Software update worked just fine. Be sure not to update the system files though. Better is to download the quicktime installation files and run the install. Why bother with pacifist? Quicktime updated doesn't need the use of pacifist - on all my machines - look sig. Tiranofice Posted August 29, 2007 Author Share Posted August 29, 2007 if it would only be that easy... when i tried to update, it said i hadn't 10,4,9 so i used pacifist. i downloaded the installation files, but it won't work, it always says i already have a newer version. Thus it also doesn't appear in the list to update your software...
