gimpyviper
I'm sure someone has posted something like this here before, but in case no one has and in case someone new needs it here's the zip file of my KeyBindings folder that will set Home and End keys to work like in Windows. What this does Changes Home and End keys to move the cursor to the beginning and end of the line instead of moving to the top and bottom of the screen Changes/Adds Shift-Home and Shift-End to select text Changes/Adds Ctrl-Home and Ctrl-End to move to the top and bottom of the document Changes/Adds Ctrl-Shift-Home and Ctrl-Shift-End to select all the text to the top or bottom of a document Changes Page-Up and Page-Down to move the cursor up a page or down a page. (Macs normally just shift the view, not the cursor) You can always edit the DefaultKeyBinding.dict text file to add/remove whatever you want. This doesn't work for all apps though, Text Edit = works, Microsoft Word = already fixed the problem, Firefox = doesn't work How to install - unzip, copy the KeyBindings folder into Users/<yourusername>/Library Restart any open application Oh and this works on actual Macs, not just Hackintoshes. =) (Obviously) KeyBindings.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61313-home-end-keys-fix/ Share on other sites
U.C.
Nice Fix. For a all round fix Double Command is great too. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61313-home-end-keys-fix/#findComment-434952 Share on other sites
