captain redbeard
hello board since i couldn´t find any help for my problem in german mac-boards i thought i might find some answers here in this international forum my problem is as follows: i´ve installed win xp sp2 on my macpro (2,66 ghz, 3 gb ram, geforce 7300, presonus firebox). it´s working but there remains one big problem. every time any program uses the "dinput8.dll" it instantly crashes leaving an error-window behind. it´s the same when running dxdiag. i downloaded the most actual directx-version (aug. 2007) and tried all bootcamp-versions from 1.1 to 1.4, even downloaded the graphic card-driver from nvidia. it´s the same every time, reinstalling windows several times did not help either. the same version of windows worked fine in my old pc and does work in the new iMac of my girlfriend, so it must be something else. my mac is working perfectly under osX, so i would say it can´t be a hardware-problem. does anyone knows something about that or is there somebody who had the same problem? it would be great if i could fix that prob, it unnerved me since six months... thanks and all the best from germany! captain Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/61253-directx-90c-problem-in-xp-macpro-bootcamp-14/ Share on other sites

synthesis77
Sorry to dig up a really old thread, but I just wanted to say thanks! 40 websites later and you're right! My XSKey was crashing GTA IV (and dxdiag) in dinput8.dll. Unplugged and works like a charm!
