OS X 10.4.8 on Sony Vaio Z1 laptop

heya all

 

thought i share this...

 

at first when i tried to install os x (jas) 10.4.8 on my sony vaio z1 laptop.. its failed, that was a month ago.

 

 

now... i tried it again and it works. after 36hrs hacking away n diggin through files n drivers..

 

what i have. sony vaio z1 (pcg-z1xgp) (INTEL CHIP)

 

 

what i used. Jas intel/amd 10.4.8 disc

 

audio - works

graphic - work (need to patch it with ATI 9600) Click here

network - works (use this file)[thanks "dong"] read this method click here

smba - works

 

wireless - havent work it out yet havent bother to.

 

 

keyboard - works (ApplePS2Controller.kext) need to kextunload/kextload ApplePS2Keyboard.kext in /etc/rc

mouse (trackpad) - ? 50/50 - ALPS also load&unload ApplePS2Track.kext - and removed ApplePS2Mouse.kext

 

REMEBER to make a backup for your "EXTENSIONS" folder.. or individual kext... in case you stuff up. you can go back

 

n Fingers Cross. + lots of repairpermission n reboot

thank you for the info (althought seems a bit late), as I want to buy a 2nd-handed Z1 for OSx86 experiment. :-)
