Ok, so I've got 10.4.10 running on an AMD 3800+ X2, 2 gigs Geil DDR400, DFI Expert Mobo, 500 gig Seagate SATA drive, ATI Radeon x1800xt.

I had to install through VMWare to get her working, as I don't have any PS/2 gear so I couldn't do a regular install. Got the CI/QE working by hacking the ATIRAdeonX1000.kext & putting my vendor ID in there. Audio doesn't work (Audigy Gamer) but I just bought the Griffin Fireware so I can use my existing 5.1 setup.

The only piece of the puzzle left is USB. I'm only getting 1.1 speeds. What can I do to fix this without borking my install?

Also, was wondering about Parallels or VMWare Fusion to access my XP install, located on another drive. I've read some people borked their Hackintoshes by using VMWare and I'm unsure if Parallels would even access my real drive for the XP.

Anyhow, can someone help with the USB to get it at 2.0 speeds???

THANKS! :o

i upgraded mine with Koolkal 10.4.10 Intel SSE3 and the USB2 kext was under /System/Library/Extensions_disabled/IOUSBFamily.kext

I copied/replaced ("sudo cp -r /System/Library/Extensions_disabled/IOUSBFamily.kext /System/Library/Extentions") and

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext

sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext

sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extension.kextcache

sudo diskutil repairPermissions /Volume/MacHD

sudo reboot

I now having USB2.0 support :happymac: (i only set my usb to Full-Speed not Hi-Speed in BIOS).

Hope this would help, i just fixed this today after the upgrade.
