AeroFX Posted August 17, 2007 Share Posted August 17, 2007 I ran OSx86 on my old rig, thing is since i built this machine i've not tried it and i'm not sure whether the latest version of OSX will run. I've yet to get it and before i do i'd like to know if i am likely to run into driver issues and/or known compatibility issues with my hardware. Asrock 64 3700+ Socket 939 2.20Ghz 1.5GB Ram SAMSUNG SP2504C Sata2 Hard Drive SONY DVD RW AW-G170A (IDE) NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT 256mb (PCI-e) Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (Onboard) Belkin 125MB Wireless Desktop PCI Network Card Can anyone help me? thegodfaza Posted August 18, 2007 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I have heard a few problems with SATA. Don't know the full extent since I use PATA. I have the same Processor so it shouldn't be a problem. Graphics are a bit out dated. You might notice some of the more graphics heavy effects are a little slow, like transparency or reflections. And networking will probably not work out of the box (I have the RTL8139, not that far off from you) so you will have to hunt for the tulip.kext like I am currently.
