sultanoswing
I have my linux ext3 and XP NTFS partitions all mounted successfully (as read-only - don't wanna risk my other 2 OS's and data!) under Uphuck 10.4.9, but they are all mounted on the desktop as 'Untitled'. Is there a way of changing the names of these mounted drives? Clicking on the name does nothing, and in 'Get Info', the name is greyed out. BJMoose
Do these partitions have other names in their respective OS's? I'm asking because even with read/write privileges in OSX86 on my NTFS drives, I can't change their names there. But they do keep the same names they had in XP. I had to go back into windows to change my drive/partition names. Those changes showed in OSX86. I don't know if read-only changes them to their generic designations. sultanoswing
Problem Solved. I booted into XP and changed the drive names there (including the Linux ext3 drives using the IFS utility for XP). The drive names must have no spaces in them e.g. Win_XP and Linux_Home. Booted back into OSX and all is well.
