jbuturff
HI all, I have a Dell Latitude D600 with one main HD, with Windows VISTA installed on it. Recently, I decided to play with some other OSes, and installed UBUNTU 7.04, Solaris 10, and OS X 10.4.8 all on a USB external drive. I am able to get all OSes booted OK, using GRUB off the Solaris parition. However, when I boot the OS X partition, my GRUB menu has to "makeActive" the OS X partition. When this happens, the next time I reboot, the system bypasses GRUB, and simply boots the OS X partition. To get back to Grub, I have to use FDISK to mark the SOLARIS partition as "active". Any one know a way around this? I am by no means an expert on any of these other OSes, particular with GRUB. So whatever info y'all might need to help, let me know. Thanks in advance for your time.
