Root Error

hi, i usually hate to ask for help and try to do things my self but i'm reallystuck so hopefully someone here can help me.

 

When i boot into safe mode of mac osx86 10.4.1(deadmoo) i get that circle with a dash through it, i've tried many other boot codes, such as (-x -v) (-v -f), and i get this waitng for root or something of that sort. the os is loaded on my 2nd hdd which is an sata drive. here are my specs maybe u can find somehting that wont work or what i should do

P4 630 3Ghz 2Mb L2 cache, 800mhz FSB (Prescott Core)

768MB PC3200 (1X256MB, 1X512mb)

1XPATA Maxtor 200GB 7200RPM 8mb Cache

1XSATA Seagate 160GB 7200RPM 8mb Cache (os on here as slave drive)

2XCombo Drives
