Posted July 7, 2007 Share Posted July 7, 2007 ok I just burned the Jas installation DVD if 10.4.7 and I did -v at the console when I boot the DVD it starts to boot fine, then it finds my chipset and then I get this message about 6 times SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC=0x08, ASCQ=0x03 Thats what I get, now I'm a mac noob, but it seems like I have a bad installation medium. can anyone verify this?
