rajmo
I am a newbie and I have just installed Uphuck 10.4.9 version 1.3 on my computer. I am dual booting vista. Everything works fine except I cannot connect to the internet. The ethernet card ( Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC) is not recognized. My hardware details are as follows Intel Pentium 4, 3000 MHz (15 x 200) HT Mobo Intel D865GBF Graphics card GeForce FX 5200 HD ST380011A ATA Device WDC WD400BB-00DEA0 ATA Device I have been going through the various posts and I am unable to find an answer. Please reply keeping in mind that I know very little about Mac I would especially like to know -the things to be selected during installation -what is to be added after installation Thank you very much Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56240-cannot-connect-to-internet-realtek-8139-uphck-1043/ Share on other sites
Zorro56
Hum, I own this network card too but it worked with both uphuck 1.3 10.4.9 and JAS 10.4.8. I didn't select special things, just the correct kernel and some fixes for the loginwindow.app and powermanagement at the install... However, I've noticed that the browsing speed in Safari/Mozilla when I'm using OS X is slightly slower than when I'm using Windows. I'm gonna check for a driver...
