eraver
Hi, I just installed 10.4.8 on my PC with Callisto (006) drivers and everything seems to be working fine except for the high pitch chirping sound my PC makes when I drag a window across the screen or move my cursor over links/buttons. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Thanks!
Mac Boy
I think it could be your video card. Do you have an ATI? The same happens for me (XP not OSX) when I rotate a very high-poly scene in Blender. But it's not very loud.
Lactobacillus P
Yes, this is something that can happen when using the on-board sound of the motherboard....
sarahbau
Sounds like what the G5s used to do. It seemed like you could hear the processor working or something. lol
eraver
Yes, it does sound like I can hear the processor working. Is there a way to get rid of it? It's very irritating. I think it's started happening after I enabled QE/CI for my video card (ATI). It's definitely not due to audio - I don't have any audio installed at the moment. Thanks! P.S. When I had a G5 I think it was making the same sound.
