logansosa Posted June 19, 2007 Share Posted June 19, 2007 This is my build: Gigabyte P965 DS3 C2D E6420 Saphire X1950 Pro 2 Gig Wintec RAM Maxtor 320 G 7200 RPM HD WD 160 GB 5400 RPM I used partition magic to partition off half of my Primary Maxtor HD (used Linux ext.3), then formatted my second HD to Linux Ext. 3 (don't know why, figured I would Install OSx86 on either the second partion of my primary HD, or on my second HD so I formatted both), when setup was done and reboot prompted I started getting these red dotted lines accros my entire screen. When I restarted in windows to try and troubeshoot, the lines were then blue and my ATI control center said that the communication from my Graphics card was in error (or something like that). Based on the alerts from my graphics controller I think that it is the graphics card. I just re-installed windows and the red dott rows are still there. But when I changed my resolution from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 only 4 columns of red previously dots, now verticle streaks. What has happened to my graphics card?
