Craig Hatfield
I posted at the tail end of another thread, but I'm desperate so I'm posting my own. I've got everything nearly perfect natively running 10.4.8 on my thinkpad, but I cannot get the native lcd to show anything but black. When I first did my install, I had the native lcd working, but couldn't get anything but 1024x768 no matter what I did or edited. Then I used the Natit_ATIauto.kext.zip and I could get the right resolutions, but only with the external lcd plugged in. So I've been running all my apps for a few days and have really settled into this thing, but I cannot take it with me and use it as a laptop, which sucks. What file can I edit, what can I do to get the 1400x1050 working on the laptop's lcd screen? Shoudl I have used (can I now use) a different .zip file from this post? My ATIRadeonX1000 file has all the cards still in there. Would removing or adding anything to that help? **As I look at this, I notice the dev id in the x1300 line is 7140, but mine is listed as 7149? Can I change that entry in the .plist file? At this point I'm hoping for a quick change and a reboot to fix this. hah. - Craig Here is the entry it must use for me (?) <key>ATIRadeonX1300</key> <dict> <key>ATIEnableWideBlitSupport</key> <true/> <key>ATIUseTearingWideBlit</key> <false/> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.apple.ATIRadeonX1000</string> <key>IOCFPlugInTypes</key> <dict> <key>ACCF0000-0000-0000-0000-000a2789904e</key> <string>ATIRadeonX1000GA.plugin</string> </dict> <key>IOClass</key> <string>ATIRadeonX1000</string> <key>IODVDBundleName</key> <string>ATIRadeonX1000VADriver</string> <key>IOMatchCategory</key> <string>IOAccelerator</string> <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x71401002&0xFFF0FFFF</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>IOSourceVersion</key> <string>1.4.40.4</string> <key>model</key> <string>Radeon X1300 Series</string> </dict> This is from the About: Chipset Model: Radeon X1300 Series Type: Display Bus: PCIe VRAM (Total): 64 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7149 Revision ID: 0x0000 This is my com.apple.Boot.plist <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1400x1050x32</string>
