OSX wont boot native

I just installed OSX 10.4.8 (jas release + ppf1) via VMware on a local partition. I can boot it just fine in VMware, but it runs rather slow that way which is why I would prefer a native boot. So I added OSX to the Vista boot loader and it seems to be booting fine, but after showing the gray Apple logo the screen goes blue and stays that way forever. Is it because the OS has been launched in VMware first or is there something else preventing it to start up fully?

I searched the forums here, but was not able to find the solution. Can you help?
