rasmits
2.4 ghz Pentium 4 512 MB PC2100 DDR 10.4.3 build 8f1111 DVD I tried putting in the DVD on boot, and I get a black screen that says, "hardware not compatable with Darwin x86". What do I do? Is there no hope? It's a Sony Viao PCV-RX850 if that's any help. edit: I haven't applied any patches or changes to the DVD image. macgirl
Maybe your Pentium 4 does not have SSE3 instruction set, so you need to apply at least boot patch and kernel with SSE2 emulation. rasmits
I'm guessing these are the maxxuss patches? I've seen the download page, but I don't know how to apply them.
