Pumuki Posted December 2, 2005 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Hi all , Im trying to install Mac Os X on a Toshiba Tecra A4 and Im getting the following error after booting with the DVD image : System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found. I have used the same iso image on a HP notebook without problems so I guess the dvd is ok. pc_guru Posted December 2, 2005 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Your cpu supports SSE2/SSE3 ?. Some pentiums (older) doesn't support SSE2, these processors can't run osx86. I already installed 10.4.1 in vmware then run it native Forgot to say the specification of my machine MB asrock 775V88 via chipset prescott 3.4 ATI 9700 IBM IDE drive 60 2gig ram dual channel (this system run 10.4.1 without any problem) any idea??? Pumuki Posted December 6, 2005 Author Share Posted December 6, 2005 hi the method I am using to install is just booting a DVD with a iso image burnt into it , I have tryied it on another machine and it worked fine ... Yes my procesor supports SSE3 , Its a Pentium M 2.0 GHZ 2mb Cache L2. And I would also like to say that friends of mine have installed from the same image in other machines without problems ... As far as I know the Pentium M processors does not have SSE3, but I could be wrong, Anyway you mention your method was booting with a DVD, didi you patched, if so, which patches? Also which version and buld of Mac OS are you installing?
