wiebeest
the macvidia Alpha patch doesnt work on 10.4.3 yet. needs to be compiled in 10.4.3 Yeah, what's up with that? At first with 10.4.1 there was the hope of Nvidia getting more and more supported through the Mac-vidia kext. Then there came 10.4.3 along with quite somne integrated Ati support. Their developer x86 Mac's have integrated Intel graphics, so Ati support makes just as less sense as Nvidia. Anyways, the macvidia stuff seemed to get on hold eversince. Surely not all people went to ditch the nvidia card in exchange for an supported Ati card? People all of a sutton don't want Nvidia support anylonger? And why did Apple include updated Ati stuff and not Nvidia on the newer builts of x86 Tiger? Check Apple's website: alot of their PPC counterparts: the powerbooks lower range, the PowerMacs G5, contain...Nvidia cards... )...What's this all about? PeterFnet
It's not like Apple can directly port PowerPC drivers to x86. It's just a matter of time until the appropriate drivers will be compiled. It's a beta for a reason :-) Smile a bit!
