NeSuKuN
Hello all, I have some app that's driving me nuts, It's reserving memory as "wired" and increasing as time passes. I can't find which app is as it seems that wired memory isn't shown in the memory used by a process in the process tab (I have currently more than 1.2GB of memory wired and the app that uses more mem is firefox, which uses less than 150mb) How could I find the guilty app? Synaesthesia
Have you used activity monitor? In the utilities directory in applications.
NeSuKuN
That's where I've found how much memory is consuming each process and how much mem is "wired". But the wired memory isn't shown in the memory-per-process column
Doug the Impaler
not sure if it's still in Tiger, but older versions of OS X had top available - just go to a terminal and type top and hit enter. Also make sure you're seeing all processes, not just "my" processes.
