bumby
This a new PPF for the JaS 10.4.8 AMD/INTEL SSE2/3 PPFv1. It adds the JaS 10.4.9 INTEL SSE3 updater package to the ISO. It also adds Natit for GF 7600 GO(made by DiaboliK), NvidiaEFI and the GMA900 fix by DiaboliK (recommended over the one made by JaS). NOTES: The INTEL 10.4.8 with ATA KEXTS included still needs to be installed ! (I will merge the .8 package with .9 updater in the next version) This ISO still works for AMD machines, though, you can't use the 10.4.9 INTEL SSE3 updater(you can only install 10.4.8 from the ISO on AMD machines. This ISO still works on INTEL SSE2 machines (if you stick to 10.4.8 and don't install the .9 update). The .9 update works for INTEL SSE3 machines and the ISO was tested by me and another person. The .9 updater wasn't tested on any SSE2 machines. You must also select the kernel in the .9 update section. That kernel is 8.9.1 INTEL SSE2/3 version C1.(this kernel has autofsb detection) The hardware fixes are independent from the .9 updater. The PPF includes Undo Data. This ISO doesn't support more or less hardware than the JaS 10.4.8 AMD/INTEL SSE2/3 PPFv1 ISO. The .9 updater doesn't support extra hardware. WARNING: this ISO doesn't include the defiant Disk Util patch, noobs, beware This is BETA1 and that means things might be added or removed in the next BETA. To do for the next release: merge the .8 INTEL package with the .9 updater add more hardware fixes Rules: 1) don't post stupid questions that have been answered in the previous list of notes 2) don't flood me with PMs 3) don't ask if it works on the X laptop, on the Y desktop machine and such (there are tons of threads for that) 4) don't distribute prepatched ISOs as I will create and release new versions of this PPF Download links: This a multivolume RAR archive. The uncompressed PPF is 657MB. Download is around 637MB http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/7ea8a6f8e5 http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/4e49cb3d85 http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/9821d0951d http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/c629942734 http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/a8e772bacb http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/1ab41c2f4d http://ultrashare.net/hosting/fl/9a433034fc Instructions: 1) get the original JaS 10.4.8 AMD/INTEL SSE2/3 ISO 2) apply JaS PPFv1 3) apply this PPFBETA1 4) install in vmware / burn to dvd and run Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50385-ppf-for-jas-1048-amdintel-sse23/ Share on other sites
frizbot
Thank you! Results other people have with this, and any additional information on it would be appreciated. If the new reupload is deleted, or if any links are removed, is there a filename that could be searched for? (eg. one can search for "JaS") Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50385-ppf-for-jas-1048-amdintel-sse23/#findComment-360581 Share on other sites
bumby
That search term will probably be Bumby, or something like that. Please, don't distribute pre-patched ISOs, if you want to distribute this or just get yourself a big ratio on torrent websites, please distribute the PPF ONLY!!! dogbert75
Does the defiant disk util patch need to be added to the iso after this patch then, or does this patch correct that issue as well? I did not see that information. Only that noobs need beware. Thanks for the clarification! bumby
No, the defiant disk util patch MUST NOT BE APPLIED on the BASE ISO!! The defiant disk util patch isn't included either ( I mean it must not be applied on the ISO...it has to be a pure PPFv1 ISO and after applying this BETA1 patch, it doesn't have that patch). This weekend will bring the next version of it. Intel 10.4.9 unique package (SSE2/3) and, maybe, AMD 10.4.9 package, but I can't guarantee that yet. It will also include a proper Disk Utility fix(one that doesn't break restore). Waiting for suggestions on what to add (hardware support packages and freeware apps, no shareware will be included).
