Fernando C
Hi Hi I have problems with USB since I upgrade to MacosX 10.4.9. An example: I connect my mp3 player USB and MacosX don't mount the mp3 player. In MacosxX 10.4.8 the mp3 mounts normally. When i look on System Profile the Mp3 player appears. The problem is: MacosX can't Mount the USB dispositives like my mp3player. Do you know a solution? Maybe a patch for 10.4.9, because in 10.4.8 i didn't have these problems with USB. I've tried with the USB 2.0 patch of BugsBunny PCGenUSBEHCI_2.6.1a_Installer.dmg but it didn´t work Macosx 10.4.9 can't mount my USB dispositives Please I need Help friends

Dainix
You need to replace 6 kexts with the 10.4.8 version. I had that happen to me when upgrading. Not sure what files they are, but check the 10.4.9 upgrade threads.
Matthew Jason
Its better that you start thinking of getting those 6 files from 10.4.8 somehow. Else, it will not work. Please follow all those upgrade instructions carefully. And also, do system backup if you can before doing any system-wide actions.

Matthew Jason
Can I check have you upgraded the Kernel recently? Give it a try, if you use 10.4.9, and 8.9.1 Kernel, then your System.kext MUST be 10.4.9 in order for the mounting to work. It happened to me, solved. Hope it helps. Good Day. Fernando C
Matthew Jason I've all updated Mac OS X 10.4.9 Darwin 8.9.1 But I can't mount USB drives like my pendrive... the problem is to mount Usb drives, no DMG's, Dmg's mounts ok, my problem is to mount USB Drives... "System Profile" detects my pendrive because when I look on USB appears the name of my Pendrive Kingston, Muvo, Mpio, Card Reader (when i connect my Palm with a program to read the card on PC) all was ok in 10.4.8 but I don't like to downgrade my Mac... !0.4.9 is faster in my opinion, Ms Office 2004 runs faster. Please I need my USB drives Help friends!
