errandwolfe
Personally, I would suggest spending $70 or so on a fully supported nVidia card. Mine (specs in sig) runs World of Warcraft with no problems at all. It seems like just about every ATI card except the x1600 seems to make you compromise in some way. Better off to buy an nVidia which is supported by the Natit project. Now of course maybe you don't plan on using OS X full time, or plan on upgrading to a Mobo with PCI-E support then you can just ignore what I have said. jesusfreak198989
I am not going to say you cant get it to work with your 9600xt, but as long as WoW is fully updated (wowwiki provides patch mirrors) and it still doesn't work, I am going to have to say you are going to either have to wait for a new kext for your card, that includes what you need, or not play, Though if someone else has tweaked a bit and gotten it to work, I'll glady stand corrected. MacApprentice
I installed WOW yesterday and had the same black screen with sound problem. Strangely the game seems to first run with the max resolution your card allow, in my case too high for my monitor. All I did is change the resolution manualy in the WTF file and it worked. OMX-Knuckles
Try upgrading to 10.4.6 or 10.4.6. I see you're using 10.4.5 which is rather old at this point.
