Guest Ramm
Firstly, Mac OS X is not compatible with FAT 32 (at least when installing). You need to make a "type AF" partition. That may be the root of the problem.
wswaak
are you sure about that, I downloaded a video tutorial and that guy made a FAT32 partition where MAC OS X should intall. I also have a NTCS partition for windows XP.
Guest Ramm
Yeah. I am. I don't know what that guy did but to my knowledge and experience it will only install to an HFS+ ("AF") partition.
boinkytwo
I agree with Ramm, based from my experience of how many times of osx86 installations, Installing on a fat32 disk format causes boot problem, most specially when you're dual booting it with windows. These are from my observations and experiences. To remedy your problem, re-install your tiger using mac-os extended (journaled) partition. Also, search the forum if you needed some dual booting guide. And if you have more problems with osx when booting, restart your computer with the -v flag so as you can see what have caused the problem. And then again, search the forum for help. _______________________________________ My Specs Asrock Mobo, Intel 845gv chipset Processor, Intel Celeron 2.4 ghz only with 512 of ram using integrated graphics using ata drives dual boot with win xp media center edition, using acronis software osx version used, 10.4.8/8.8.1 - updated to 10.4.9/8.9.1 ----------------------------------- search the forum for help if you want to update too, after your x.4.8 install.
