Hi I''m trying to install mac osx on mine computer, ive made a FAT32 partition to install mac osx and after that im booting my computer with darwin. The white apple screen comes up with the moving round thingy. But then it stays there. After a while there appears a round traffic sign ( the one with the round circle with a stripe trough it).

My system is an:

CPU AMD athlon 64, 2200 mhz 3500+

CPU label: Venice S939

Veld Waarde

Instructionset: x86, x86-64, MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3

Motherboard: ASRock 939Dual-SATA2.

im using the : JaS 0Sx86 10.4.6 Install DVD - Intel and AMD; SSE2 and SSE3

hoping anyone can help thank you!

Firstly, Mac OS X is not compatible with FAT 32 (at least when installing). You need to make a "type AF" partition. That may be the root of the problem.

Yeah. I am. I don't know what that guy did but to my knowledge and experience it will only install to an HFS+ ("AF") partition.

I agree with Ramm, based from my experience of how many times of osx86 installations, Installing on a fat32 disk format causes boot problem, most specially when you're dual booting it with windows. These are from my observations and experiences.

To remedy your problem, re-install your tiger using mac-os extended (journaled) partition.

Also, search the forum if you needed some dual booting guide.

And if you have more problems with osx when booting, restart your computer with the -v flag so as you can see what have caused the problem. And then again, search the forum for help.
