Hi there... i have a little "problem" here with my internet connection... i actually have an usb modem and there is no drivers for mac, so i'm wondering if mac is detecting my ethernet, i checked the components supported list and my VIA VT6102 Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter is not listed, but i saw mac detects "Built-in Ethernet"... so my question is... is that correct?... if i call to change my modem to another one will internet works?

PS: sorry for my english :)

I believe it IS not supported. Yes you will see the Built-int Ethernet but its not been seen by OSX

Just get a supported NIC

I bought one on my local shop for $20 (Compusa Brand Gigabit Realtek 8169S)

Unfortunately it causes a kernel panic, and the system freeze anytime, when i remove the driver the system load normally.
