I have CI&QE working on my Geforce go 7400 LCD Built-in display on my Dell xps m1210, but how do I get an external display to work? Do I need to modify the kexts? Any links?

Can you please describe how you got it working ? Thanks :thumbsup_anim:

I just installed from the JAS 10.4.8 AMD SSE2 SSE3 DVD and choose the option for Natit/Titan installation. I'm not sure what version it installs, but it works pretty nicely except for the extended display not working. If I could get that to work, I would use the M1210 as my main workstation instead of my Aluminum Powerbook G4, cause the m1210 is smokin' fast on OSX. It sounds like a lot of people have the Go 7400 workin' based on the thread about installing osx86 on the m1210.

I've got uphuck's 1.3 release of 10.4.9 running nicely with this video card in an HP Pavillion dv8327. I just selected the latest-looking release of Natit, and the laptop LCD worked just fine. The screen does a couple of odd things at startup, but then seems to work. I'd like to get my external monitor working with it though, and that's not happening so far. Maybe someone has some advice for Jorge and me?

Thanks.

i have got the same problem as well.

i am searching around here in this forum for a couple of months now to check if any driver enables the vga out of my nvidia go 7400.

my laptop is a benq r55, runnning vista at the moment, but i would like to switch to mac at the latest when leopard comes out.

i have hope that we will find out, how to enable the external monitor for presentations, viewing movies and so on.

i have thought about the problem myself for a long time, although i am not a driver writer, but i came to the conclusion that the problem with the external monitor could result from the fact, that macbooks have a special monitor connector, as u know, for which you have to use a dongle to connect to dvi.

probably the macbook sends out a digital monitor signal through this connector, but my laptop like many others does not have a digital dvi output, just a normal analog vga output.

so i thought the problem for a driver developer would be to tell the card under osx to send out an analog signal instead of a digital one.

seems quite confused, what i am talking about, right??

so i will stop spreading my stupid thoughts around here ^^

well, back to the problem:

in some places or chats i have read that there is already support for external monitors with many cards INCLUDING OURS!!

but in some places i havent found even a piece of information that it has been done, connecting an external monitor.

i have tested around with titan / natit / whatever packages of drivers on my own, but the success was, that i could enable (have forgotten how!) external monitor, but then the built in lcd stayed black, even when i choose the option "mirroring" ....

that was very strange and because i am not the crack in tinkering around with pre-alpha drivers ;-) i gave it up.

so i would be very thankful for any success or information which is posted in here!!

the cool guys will sooner or later fix it for us!! :-)

keep your eyes open.

it would be enough for me having the same thing that you have : the full resolution support + QE/CI on internal display on my vaio with geforce 7400 go!

JorgeJones : Can you please post the id of your graphics card and how much memory you got on it?

What's wrong with vaio display that doesn't work ?

Thanks!
