musiclover408
Hello, I just bought an iPod from a friend and it is loaded with songs. It is formatted Mac (since that is what he has) and I need to format it with Windows. Before I do that, I want to be able to save the music to my harddrive. I know the policy is that you must own the music, and the truth is, I DO! I have over 11,000 cd's and anything on this iPod that I would actually want, I already own. I just am trying to save all that time it would take to import thousands of songs into iTunes. I downloaded MacDrive and it found the iPod when connected. I then went into the Ipod_Control folder and found the "Music" folder. I opened it and chose "select all" and transferred the contents to a folder on my Windows desktop. Unfortunately, I have tried this 4 or 5 times and every time it starts transferring the files and then will just reboot my computer!! Does anyone know why this is happening and what can be done to fix it? Thanks so much for your help! ~ML~
