Tried Hackintosh on XEN today (copied an disk image from a workstation to a lvm partition). I assigned four prozessors cores (Opteron 2210 1,8 GHZ), 2GB Ram and started Geekbench, the first Result was abit of the hook.

12801 (http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/11219), I retried it a few times and the results where around 4500.

I tried geekbench with a Windows 2003 guest (4 proz. 2GB Ram) and got only 2600 points. (http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/11223)

Next I assigned three prozesors and got amazing 195575 points (http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/11233), the next try brought me a more realistic result (http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/11234) at about 2600.

 

It's nice to compare MacOsX to Windows 2003 Server on XEN, unfortunately the linux benchmark does not work.

Sorry if this is a stupid nubie question, but I downloaded the GeekBench file and everytime I try to open it, all it does it loop and create another file of itself. How do you open and run this file ?? Thanks again for any info and help, trying to learn my ins and outs of this excellent OS. God Bless ;)
