0nly Posted February 25, 2007 Share Posted February 25, 2007 I have 10.4.7 JaS installed on a IBM Thinkpad T30 2367-86U. I have most things working but when I go to screensaver in Sys Pref it crashes. Has anyone had this error and fixed it? QE & Core Image not supported. hecker Posted February 25, 2007 Share Posted February 25, 2007 (edited) OK, I'll assume the system crashes when it tries to display the OpenGL screensaver on your non QE/CI enables OS. I am pretty sure that not all screensavers require QE/CI, so you'll just have to pick a different one. I did a quick search in google and found these: http://homepage.mac.com/redbird/iblog/GWPu...1009/index.html (guide to replace the standard screensaver via terminal) http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/ The other solution I could think of is booting in safe mode (enter -x at the darwin boot console.
