frizbot
Boot with the -v switch and tell us what it says is going wrong. And no, OS X doesn't work with x86, its an elaborate hoax ;-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42866-does-mac-osx-really-work-with-x86/#findComment-306495 Share on other sites
cation007
well... it was showing the ethernet address and starts hanging from there .... Do you want any more information ? While installing in x86, do I need to choose any special patches to be installed ? like intel sse2 sse3 etc ??? Where can I find information regarding this ? kevinosx
in short, yes the patches need to be selected correctly in order for th instalation to work at all, i.e. if you have an intel processor then you select the intel patch, if you have sse3 processor then select the sse3 patch and so on. there is plenty of information in the Genius bar in the forum main page, plenty of How To's that will walk you through step by step. Good luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42866-does-mac-osx-really-work-with-x86/#findComment-306825 Share on other sites
