bpopilek
Hey all! I picked up my Gateway notebook a couple of weeks ago, and so far I have got it running Vista & OSX together and most of my devices work perfectly under OSX, except for one that is more of a nag than a real problem. When I am logged into Vista, I can initiate a reboot, and the PC does just that. However, when I am booted into OSX86 and try a reboot, it always shuts the OS down properly and then promptly shuts down my PC instead of rebooting it. Does anyone have any suggestions, or am I stuck with it? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42606-notebook-will-not-reboot/ Share on other sites
kamig
What is the model of your notebook? Did you used the Jas DVD 10.4.8? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42606-notebook-will-not-reboot/#findComment-304638 Share on other sites
bpopilek
My notebook specs are in my signature, but it is a Gateway MT6821. And yes I used the "JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3" install. I have replaced the Kernel with the DaemonES one. It would not reboot before the kernel change either. The other thing I just noticed while playing with it is I cannot get it to go into sleep mode. If I hit the power button and choose sleep, the mouse cursor disappears and everything stays on the screen. If I touch the trackpad, the cursor reappears. Any ideas for this too? Thanks.
