KillerBee17
Im running OSX on my HP Pavillion ZV6149. Everything works except my ethernet and dvd drive. Ethernet is no problem, wifi works. But why doesn't my dvd drive work?? I installed osx using this drive, but can't use it in os x. Ferret-Simpson
Just a LITTLE bit more information would be useful. Operating System (Jas 1.4.8 beta 3, Deadmoo, jMac 10.4.6, etc) And for all those who don't know your system, the manufacturer and model of your IDE controller. KillerBee17
I'm not quite sure wich development team made my osx dvd. It's version 1.4.8 for AMD. My IDE controller is a ST9808210A. I think it's ati. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42577-no-dvd/#findComment-304790 Share on other sites
Ferret-Simpson
That sounds more like the model number of your hard disk, and ATI (Correct me if I'm wrong here) Don't make IDE controllers. Lets try this another way. What is the chipset of your motherboard? A Via? Is your OS X Hard Disk connected to the same bus? Have you tried a different drive? My ide controller is an hp IXP SB400 IDE controller. Since my pc is a laptop, I'm not shuse if my dvd and hddbare on the same bus. I have tried a usb dvd drive . This worked.
