tyler-durden
Hi all, this is my first post. Sorry for my english :-) I got the latest version of leo (dmg) and is abot 5gb. I tried to open and inside I have a readmefirst file, a folder with X something and the black icon of the installer. The strange thing is that if I try to burn it, toast or yuburner give me a 1,5gb of size. Why? So I tried to burn the dmg on a DL Dvd but doesn't work. What can I do? Thanx a lot Tyler durden Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41548-strange-size-problem/ Share on other sites
Adrian Fogge
Are you sure that it was actually Leopard 9a343 and not some kind of a hoax? Either that, or you could have had a bad download. Check the filesize, it should be 5,510,940,357 bytes. No longer have the image any more, so cant get you the MD5 Sum, but maybe someone else can get that for you. tyler-durden
Check the filesize, it should be 5,510,940,357 bytes. The size is the same but the problema is that when I open the dmg and put it in toast. it's about 1,5 gb. Should I try to install from an external hd? Thanx a lot Tyler Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41548-strange-size-problem/#findComment-298111 Share on other sites
Fizzeh
What I would do is to put it onto an external drive or partition and boot up from that. (Hold option to pick the boot drive). You can also use an iPod, but you will have to put all of the music back onto your iPod. Bye MD5 (leopard_client_9a343.dmg) = d98cfd0c9abe1ec8a709d4eb38670ab0 Sorry for the ignorance but how can I find that? Fizzeh
Ok...dont use CCC....it doesnt copy everything. for the md5, open terminal (applications/utility/terminal) and type md5 and then drag the .dmg onto the white screen. Hit return and wait a long time. It will take about 10 mins on a slower computer.
