sadiekiller Posted February 7, 2007 Share Posted February 7, 2007 (edited) So yesterday we got one of the new Airport Extremes and it is NICE, but my laptop (802.11b) will not connect to the network. its a pc, but that really shouldn't matter as my desktop connects fine on 802.11g. i could buy a new wireless card for it, but i would rather not. i was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if anyone knew what was going on. it connects at first boot up for like 10 seconds and then disconnects. then if i try to connect it, it refuses all connections. i have the airport in compatibility mode, so it should work fine. all the other macs in my house had 0 problems connecting. also, is it true that if you run in compatibility mode the actual 802.11n computers will not get the full speed? wireless card is "Linksys WPC11 ver. 4" Edited February 7, 2007 by sadiekiller Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
