I managed to get 10.4.6 (JaS) installed, but my sound and my internal wireless are not working.

Wireless

I have a Broadcom 4311 (14e4:4311) which, according to most of the posts, seems to be supported. It gets detected by the Ubuntu LiveCD when I do an 'lspci' and worked fine under Vista, but when I check System Profiler it doesn't show up under the Airport like everything should. I tried reinstalling the WirelessSupport package from the DVD without avail. When OSX boots I don't get a light on the wireless button, and pressing it doesn't do anything at all.

Audio

According to 'lspci' I have an 8086:27d8, which again, seems to be supported according to the posts on the forum. I can hear the speakers kicking on when OSX boots, but the 'Mute' button is lit up on the laptop, and pressing the volume up or down buttons doesn't do anything. Pressing the Mute button causing the volume 'box' to flash on the screen like I had muted it.

If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it. I'm just those two things away from this being an awesome experiance and will gladly document what I had to do to get it to work in the Wiki.

For the Intel HDA sound, I have the same ven/dev id on my HP dv5218. I installed JaS 10.4.7, and used the Azalia Controller kext plugin in the Azalia Audio kext by adding my ven/dev to its Info.plist. I had to remove the AppleHDA kext from the extensions directory to get it to work (I moved it to a backup folder). But now sound is working, even the sound up/down buttons and mute button functions. I haven't tried the mic port, as I don't use it generally.

As for the wireless, I'm still trying to figure out if its a lost cause or not. I think the problem with mine might be that the card is mini-pcie as apposed to mini-pci like most people's.
