I am currently trying to remove Mac OSX from my Asus Laptop. Reason: Too many devices are not supported. I am better off getting a real mac. Well, the problem is if I remove the partition that contains mac osX, I will not be able to boot up since it will not be able to find the darwin bootloader. Question: How do I change the bootloader to Windows's, so that it starts up to windows?? Help is much needed

If you have your XP disk, go ahead and remove OSX. If it doesn't reboot into Windows when you restart, put your XP install disk in and boot into it. Choose the recovery console. When you get to a prompt a:\ or c:\ type in fixmbr enter. That should repair your master boot record and get you going.

I did this but the OSX loader is still there, only now when I hit the F8 key I got the Darwin bootloader to show the options menu then if I choose my XP partition I have the normal XP bootloader that show me the choice between my XP install or the Mac OSX86 (I have a full working dual boot but with darwin that offer no choice at startup (I want to choose the OS on startup) I tried to get the chain0 method working then used my xp disk to fix the mbr (fixboot /mbr trick) but Darwin is still there on startup and start OSX by default, is there anything I can do to have either Darwin asking each time which disk I want to boot, or get rid of Darwin and have the default XP Bootloader instead. (I'm new to the OSX world but I'm a geek tech in Windows XP or any Microsoft OS)
