mifki
Bump Do you know how to read? A new kernel has just been released that fixes these issues for most people Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40815-1048-sleep-will-it-ever-work/#findComment-309374 Share on other sites
Ferret-Simpson
Hmm? Which kernel is this? Semthex SSE3 Jan 10 doesn't, and I picked that up within the last 48 hours. Neonkoala
It is still currently being tested. There may be a beta copy available on the IRC server in #Kernel. Bart86
Yep - beta 9, no go for me either for S3 hibernation. I think they might be getting closer though. With beta 8, the system would reboot when resuming. With beta 9 it just hangs when resuming, but no reboot. Guest Ramm
Really? Both S1 and S3 work fine for me. What sort of problems do you get with S3? Bart86
System hibernates correctly, but when I hit a key to resume, it never wakes. tried both with onboard GMA950 only then with my gt7600 pcie. ...Just get a black screen and things don't spin back up during resume. nikeita
guys i do not understand what you are refering for sleep/hibernate.. as i know: S1 ?? S3 is standby S4 is hibernate on my hackintosh in the apple menu i see only "Stop" menuitem (Italian translation) that put in standby the computer (flashing power light), but it wont awake. Where is the hibernate menu or why i cannot see it. 10.4.8 semthex dec 9 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40815-1048-sleep-will-it-ever-work/#findComment-311402 Share on other sites
Bart86
I think we have been refering to sleep and hibernate as the same thing - S3.
