Yes, i am a noob in this whole hackintosh thing and my first attempt in installing ended in utter failure and disappointment. installation went smoothly but upon reboot after installation i got this message "Unable to find driver for this platform: ACPI", does anybody have a fix/solution for this? btw here is my setup: Intel E6300+ GA-965P-S3 1GB DDR2 800 Nvidia 7600GT JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 Any help would be very much appreciated. dvornik
During the installation process did you go to the customize button and select the packages to install? Essentially start just with the intel option (some DVDs have 2 to chose from, mifki and semthex, or something like that, try both, one at a time...)... If that works add one of the Natit options for th videocard support. I had that message at some point - don't remember what I've done... Also, there are a couple of different 10.4.8 JaS DVDs out there. If yours doesn't work try another one. putzi
@ Meatwagon: Looks as if you've tried to update. Try instead backing up your files and your home folder and doing a clean install on a blank harddrive. This is how it finally worked out for me. Good luck.
