Hello. I have ps/2 keyboard and a usb mouse.

Do i need to copy over the drivers? Can I do that from boot in -s?

Which should I use enhanced or hacked?

Do i have to do ""PS/2 Keyboard and USB Mouse - disable 2 kexts as follows" also?

Could I do the last one "PS/2 Keyboard and USB Mouse - disable 2 kexts as follows"

from booting in -s? because my keyboard won't work on the installation dvd.

I really appreciate it.

A simpler method is to attach a PS2 mouse in order to populate the PS2 ports, once the both are connected you can attach a USB mouse or USB keyboard. or you simply put a USB mouse and a USB keyboard.

If you don't have a spare PS2 mouse, don't attach the USB mouse until you modify the kexts.

OK I found that I have to disable "USB legacy support" in the BIOS in order to have PS/2 mouse and keyboard works. However they might stop working suddenly after several minutes ...

On the other hand, by disabling legacy support I'll encounter into another difficulty ... Actually the installation DVD cannot recognize my SATA controller. Therefore I need to install on an external USB hard disk. However, I can't boot from the USB disk if legacy support is disabled  ...

Really difficult to get things done ...

I can't install OSx86 on my PC with "MacOSX_10.4.6DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso" because my computer won't recognise my keyboard or mouse. I have a USB Logitech MX310 mouse and a wireless logitech keyboard that used to have a wireless mouse till it broke. The reciever is attached via usb but there is a ps/2 cable on the lead, i am not sure what this is for. Could this combination be causing problems not recognising the keyboard or mouse during the installation process?

I can get my mouse and keybaord to work on Vmware but would like ot try it natively. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
