DavidJavid
I have a laptop with a really small hard drive. My PC running OS X as it's primary OS has a lot of extra storage so, I made a 80GB HFS+ partition on the hard drive on the hackintosh that I can change to Fat32 or NTFS, but I have MacDrive (a program that allows Windows to read/write HFS+ partitions). Is there any way I can use that partition as a wireless hard drive for the laptop through wireless network (through my router) and make it simple to use in Windows Explorer? It's only going to be used to store mp3's and smaller files. I was looking at making it Samba server, but wasn't sure how to go about doing it. Thanks for the help in advance. Mr. Bond
David, I was a little confused at first, but I think I understand...you're in a smiliar situation to me. From your desktop running OS X, you can easily set up File sharing (can be found in System Preferences), which will allow any computer on you're network to access the harddrive at an address like 192.168.0.1/Bond. On your windows laptop, you simply need to add a new network place with that address. From there, it's easy to move files back and forth between the two computers, without the need to partition you're desktop's harddrive. That's the sort of set up I have here, seeing as my laptopt has a puny 20gb drive. Handy for streaming music, moving files, etc.
DavidJavid
Whoo! Thanks...it took me all of 1 minute to do. Sorry about my confusing 1st post, I just typed and didn't use my "mad paragraph and sentence clarity skillz." I was losing hope because nobody answered my post. Thanks again.
