yanis
Ok, very quckly I have the following in System Profiler: NVIDIA GeForce 6200: Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Type: Display Bus: AGP VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0221 Revision ID: 0x00a1 Displays: ASUS VW192T??: Resolution: 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Not Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported Display: Status: No display connected So, the good news is, via Natit the GFX card is detected a-ok (as is AGP and TFT display via DVI). The bad news, is that I can't quite get a handle on how to get CI and QE working. iirc, the above card does apparently support the two acceleration features, but try as I might, I can't nail down what I need to do to get them active. Any pointers to enabling the exceleration via CI and QE would be much apreciated. spreaderb
I have got it to work using just titan.kext after a standard installation of JaS 10.4.8 SSE2, SSE3, AMD iso WITHOUT tagging the titan option in the install menu and instead adding titan.kext after I injected the 128 Bytes Monitor string Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40343-jas-1048-natit-geforce-6200/#findComment-288152 Share on other sites
yanis
spreaderb, Ahh.. good point. I might try a 'plain vanilla' install of JaS's build as per your suggestion. Just out of curiosity, what video card do you have? I found some guide based on the idea of transferring various NV and Geforce kext's from the official Mac 10.4.8 update, which resulted in a kernel panic due to missing dependencies (hardly surprising). Having said that - the install including titan was able to correctly identify the video card, as well as detect the TFT display - CI and QE wouldn't be affected by adding the correct monitor string (given OS X was able to successfully poll the display) surely? bristol
This is what I Get in system profile: nVidia GeForce 6200 LE: Chipset Model: nVidia GeForce 6200 LE Type: Display Bus: PCIe VRAM (Total): 16 MB Vendor: nVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0163 Revision ID: 0x00a1 Displays: Display: Status: No display connected DELL P1110: Resolution: 1280 x 960 @ 100 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz 2D Extreme: Supported Quartz Extreme: Supported I used Natit from Natit 1.0 Universal package. Everythings seems working fine, except - every time at startup display is turning off for a while, and then detecting again .. its a bit boring. And was trying to write 0x16310de in files: GeForce.kext; NVDANV40Hal.kext; NVDAResman.kext... And another thing - dont understand why video VRAM is only 16mb. Because really rard have 128 DDR 64BIT. Just out of curiosity, what video card do you have? Hi, I hvae the Asus N6200 Card which is a Gforce 6200 with 128MB using AGP. This card is attached to a 1600x1200 LCD via the DVI port. I just got a black screen after the install with titan drivers initially. And I red od this forum that the titan drivers on the Jas DVD are not working properly in some configurations. This led me to a clean install using just titan.kext I think the 6200 ID is already included in the NVIDIA kexts of the installation. After the titan.kext with the correct EDIT string the screen worked pefectly but System Profile still indicated PCI instead of AGP. I used AGPGart lite 1.1. I red on this forum that the other versions only work on AMD CPUs But I didn't verify this myself Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40343-jas-1048-natit-geforce-6200/#findComment-290106 Share on other sites
Bill Lumbergh
Everythings seems working fine, except - every time at startup display is turning off for a while, and then detecting again .. its a bit boring. I get this with Natit too, didnt happen with Titan. My profiler shows 2nd display active under Natit (like yours), so the flashing screen is the driver loading, looking for display 1, then switching to display 2. I'll post if I manage to fix it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40343-jas-1048-natit-geforce-6200/#findComment-292302 Share on other sites

Bill Lumbergh
Any pointers to enabling the exceleration via CI and QE would be much apreciated. Just a thought - have you set the AGP aperture size to 128 in BIOS? I had it on 256 and spent days rebooting with titan/natit with no CI/QE until I set it to 128, rebooted and all worked @bristol just realised I get the same on/off display with titan (although its quicker for some reason), dont think I can fix this. Gashead or CiderArmy btw?? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40343-jas-1048-natit-geforce-6200/#findComment-294379 Share on other sites
