urig-herb
Hi, the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane doesn't work any more for me. I get "Preferences error. Cannot load Keyboard & Mouse". Any advice?
urig-herb
Under rosetta, it works, weird. Maybe something is broken because I tried USB overdrive?
slylock
I'm getting the same problem now, 10.4.3 8F1099. Possibly because I was trying to make Front Row work. What was the solution?
Ouch
I got exactly the same problem after trying to install front row - it also broke the dvd player, which i managed to replace with the original using pacifist. I tried replacing the preference pane as well but that didn't fix it. I think it has something to do with the front row patch.
Lagerstatten
I got this solution from someone else on the forum. Might as well pay it forward. Try opening the system preferences with this command It will open it in service mode I think thats what they called it. In 10.4.3 you don't have the option to open it with rosette like in 10.4.1. Open terminal and type this you will need to enter your password sudo /usr/libexec/oah/oah750 /Applications/System\ Preferences.app/Contents/MacOS/System\ Preferences Works like a charm for me everytime. And I do agree about the Front Row hack causing this problem. Cheers.
