Hey.

First of all I can install OSX 10.4.6 no problem on my PC but when I go to boot it I get a quickly scrolling list of drivers being loaded then the screen goes black and the computer restarts getting me nowhere.

Second problem is when I insert my boot disk into my laptop the installer boots up but all I get is the blue background of the installation menu, no cursor, no windows, nothing. But the weird thing about this is the first time I inserted the disk the whole thing loaded fine, but I didn't install as I was just testing the disk. All subsequent attempts to boot the disk give the same problem. I made a second boot disk incase there was an issue with the disk itself, but the same deal.

Any help on either of these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ad 1.

I have the same problem ( the first one ) with 10.4.8 install dvd and then with normal OS X ! ( Proper boot is random, after some restarts :| )

Boot options have nothing to do with that, system reboot just after load kexts ( cached or uncached )

I don't know what is going on, 10.4.7 booting without problems.

Everything else working like a charm !
