I previously got the deadmoo image working but I was pretty fed up with the 6Gb limitation. I was reading about the Generic DVD so I downloaded that and patched it. I couldn't find any information on installing from the ISO without burning it so I had a go doing it via VMware.

I created a 20Gb partition on my hard drive using DISKPART and set it to AF. Then I created a 20Gb virtual image with VMware 5.5 set to assign all space first. Mounted the ISO with Daemon tools, and installed OSX. Once installed I booted the image and applied the 10.4.2 patch and the latest TPMA patch as I wasn't sure what version the one in the DVD image was (I applied the r1 patch to the DVD image after converting from DMG). Once I was happy the OSX was patched I used the known DD command to copy the VMware image to the 20Gb partition I have on my hard drive. Then I set the partition as the active partition, rebooted the PC and the Darwin boot loader came up with two options once I pressed Enter. And now I am in OSX fine :( 20gb drive.

I'm quite happy this worked out. Of course it would have been easier if I burned the ISO to DVD but I don't have a DVD writer.

Specifications of my system:

Foxconn 865PEAD (Intel 865PE chipset)

Intel Celeron D 330 (2.66GHz)

512mb PC3200 Kingston DDR

80Gb Maxtor 7200rpm 8mb SATA

16x Sony DVDROM

Geforce2 MX400 64mb AGP

Intel EtherExpress 10/100 PCI Network card*

On-Board Intel Audio

* onboard NIC is a Realtek, and I prefer Intel :o

No core image or QE obviously, but the video is quite quick considering. My CPU is SSE3 so I have a fully working Rosetta and no green lines randomly. Sound is working fine, I can watch videos ok too. I just wish the motherboard had built-in Intel video but I can't have everything.
