pp77 Posted January 17, 2007 Share Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) Hi everyone! Managed to install 10.4.8 kernel 8.8.1 (Tubgirl) on my cheap laptop with an AMD Sempron 3100+ SSE3. Everything is working fine now (after a lot of research - this forum is a bible for help ), but my CPU Fan is really annoying me 'cause it never turns off (in previous versions 10.4.7, etc. it worked fine), is any parameter I need to change, or extensions I need to remove? I'm using the latest semthex kernel and Tubgirl's Final AMD 10.4.8 release. Thanks in advance and glad you can help. The last few posts in this thread explain the problem. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...4915&st=360 If I still get that URL wrong, Speedstep isn't supported in 10.4.8, so the CPU is running at full tilt.
