Hi guys,

searched the forum, but can not find a possilbe answer. I used the jas-release with the patch 1 to install osx to my amd-platform. The boot went ok, but during coping the data to the harddrive the process suddenly stops. Unlikely I can not determine the exect point, because one time it stopped at 4% and the other at 75%. I use the latest JAS-Release 10.4.8 with patch 1. I did the self test without the patch 1 with the same result.

In detail:

1. Booting from first DVD-ROM

2. Reaching the configuration dialog from OSX

3. The drive is recognized by the OSX util

3. Selectiing AMD kext in the install-option menu

4. Eximination of DVD-ROM completes

5. Coping of data starts

6. Hangers experienced like discribed above

My configuration is as follows:

AMD Athon 64 3000+, SSE2

ASUS AN8-SLI Deluxe, NVIDIA 4 chipset

Seagate SATA-drive, 320GB, attached to NVIDIA onboard controller, first port

GIGABYTE graphics adapter, 6600GT Chipset

1024 MB RAM

DUAL-Boot configuration with Windows XP

Any ideas what I can try?

Regards,

Scatman

Thanx for the search help ;-) I already saw this release but forgot the name. But sadly I supose this won't help me out because of my SATA-drive AND the nforce4-chipset. Seems to me that I have to buy a small PATA drive to get it working.

One small update:

I managed to get my hands on a PATA drive. With it the installation from the jas-dvd worked flawlessly.

The strange thing: Under system-information no sata-drive is found, but I have both drives installed. So far I am happy with the success.
