se1zure
I am installing Mac onto a second internal hard drive sing this image: MacOSX_10.4.6DVDPATCHED_Myz I started by installing windows on the drive, then booting into the mac install, and erasing the drive with that, and repartitoning it with mac osx journaled. Then, I complete the install using the dvd, and when the computer restarts, it goes to the dual boot screen, but says: WIndows Xp Home edition Windows Xp Home Edition... eek, thats not good. One is my old computer, and one is the otehr drive, however, when I selevct the other (mac one_), it states that WIndiows is missing some dll file... SO, in the bios, I set it to boot from the second drive, before the primary one. It goes into this darwin black and white text boot scree, where it tells me to press a button to boot. IO press a button, and a ton of white text scrolls up for like 30 secondss. THen, the screen goes black, and my cumputer shuts down, and takes me back to that same screen. Does anyone have a good, easy, noob friendly guide to installing osx86 on a second internal sata drive (including the steps to partition properly). If you could explain to me in idiot terms, basically, that would be great, considering I just switched back to PC from mac in hopes of using osx86... . BWT, i am using a asus p5w dh deluxe mobo, corsair ram, core 2 duo e6600, ati radeon 1950 pro GPU. sg
hit f8 a bunch of times at your bios screen to get your boot menu, and choose to boot from your OSX drive. se1zure
Hello! It's gookd to see we have virtuially identical machines, same mobo, and similar cpu at least. I have used f8, and I get to the right screen, but when I pick to boot up into mac, a bunch of text scrolls, and then my coimputer shuts down. Here is a video of what happens: http://media.putfile.com/osx86-problems Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37611-myzar-install-help/#findComment-267715 Share on other sites
