Hey, having some trouble here. I recently upgraded my computer from a p4 to a C2D and wanted to give this a shot. When i had the p4 i was able to install OS X 10.4.4 but had problems so i just gave up on it. Now that i've upgraded i want to give this another try.

anyway, the problem is that after i boot from the DVD and get just past the "press enter to blah blah or press f8 to choose boot options blah blah" (don't remember the exact text, so shoot me :happymac:). anyway, i press enter and shortly after the system reboots. If i use -v the last messages shows that its loading device drivers (i think). no error messages or anything.

specs:

Asrock 755Dual-VSTA

C2D e6400

1024mb DDR

ATI x800 XT

any help would be great.

ok, 10.4.8 worked until i had to restart after the install. After that it boots and then sits at the grey screen with the apple in the middle and the little thingy at the bottom that just goes around in a circle. after about a minute or two a small white box with a circle with a slash through it appears dead center. it just hangs there and does nothing (i let it sit for 10-20min).
